Inside the Permian Basin

About

Inside the Permian Basin with Fortress Energy

Available exclusively to Main Street Summit All-In and Capital Camp Pass holders.

What to Expect:

In the past 15 years, the US has gone from being a net importer of oil to a net exporter—and the vast majority of that growth has come from the Permian Basin. Roughly half of the United States' daily oil production comes from within 200 miles of Midland, Texas.

Fortress Energy has been investing in the heart of this region since 2017, executing on almost $1B in acquisitions across the basin. You'll be alongside co-founders Daniel Charbonnet and Jordan Strebeck who is a longtime West Texan who previously sat on the board of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association and chaired Congressman August Pfluger's Inaugural Permian Basin Industry Council. He knows this industry, and this place, inside and out.

This Field Trip is a chance to see firsthand how America's energy industry actually works, from the office to the rig itself. You’ll also hear from special guests Jack Harper, former President of Conoco North America and Will Hickey, CEO of Permian Resources (NYSE: PR)!

Join us for two days with the Fortress Energy team in Midland, Texas if you're curious about:

  • How the Permian Basin transformed US energy independence

  • Mineral and royalty investing

  • What horizontal drilling and fracking look like up close

  • Building an energy business in a commodity market

  • The economics and geopolitics of oil and gas – what does the domestic energy industry look like in the face of today’s geopolitical uncertainty

  • West Texas culture (and hospitality)

Or, the accuracy of the hit television documentary series, Landman 😁

Cost: $100 to cover meals (dinner, breakfast, and lunch included).

Plan for the trip:

Sunday, May 17th

~6 pm - Welcome Dinner

  • You'll kick things off with a casual dinner with the Fortress Energy team, a chance to get to know the group and hear what's ahead.

8 pm - Pickleball

  • Work off dinner and keep the conversation going. A post-pickleball whiskey tasting may or may not be included.

Monday, May 18th

12 pm - Lunch

  • You'll break for lunch at La Estancia, a chance to break bread together and hear more of the Fortress story before diving into the afternoon.

1 pm - Conversations and Q&A

  • Back at Fortress for the heart of the day. Expect it to be casual and interactive: light on slides, heavy on authentic anecdotes. Plenty of time for questions about what you see and hear.
