Small Business Stewardship with Permanent Equity
Available exclusively to Main Street Summit All-In Pass holders.
What to Expect:
Permanent Equity is 15+ years into a journey of small business stewardship, and they are doing things differently. They invest out of 30-year funds, don’t plan to sell portfolio companies, and have a no-asshole policy that's actually enforced.
This inaugural Field Trip is a chance to learn directly from the team about their experience.
Join us for a day with the Permanent Equity team in Columbia, Missouri if you're curious about:
Deal origination
Portfolio company case studies
Valuation analysis
Financial diligence + fraud
Their Blueprint Operating System
Talent recruitment as a superpower
Content to scale conversation and deal flow
Plan for the day:
12 pm - Welcome Lunch and Q&A
Things will kick off at the Permanent Equity offices for a quick tour and lunch. You'll have a chance to hear more about their story and ask questions that will guide the afternoon conversations.
1:30 - 4 pm - Small Group Discussions
These topical and engaging discussions will be structured to encourage participation and plenty of off-the-record Q&A. A variety of PE team members will rotate between topics to share insights (and war stories) that are actionable and proven. They will range from Permanent Equity's operating playbook for portfolio companies, deal origination strategies, valuation frameworks, and unexpected items to spot during diligence.
5:30 pm - Dinner
You'll end the day with another delicious meal hosted by the Permanent Equity team. The group will break up into small, intentional tables to encourage deeper, wide-ranging conversations throughout the evening.
We encourage you to continue the conversation and build relationships alongside fellow Capital Campers that you'll see again in Columbia come September!
